2021 College Internship Application Deadline:

Oct. 30, 2020

“My internship at The Dallas Morning News was the single most important job I’ve ever had. It impressed my professors in college, helped me get summer internships and even scored me jobs in my first few years as a professional. The name alone — The Dallas Morning News — is one everyone knows.”

~ Sarah Blaskovich, entertainment writer and former intern

“Working in the features department gave me the chance to work one-on-one with one of the best editors I’ve ever met. For someone who didn’t major in journalism, this internship felt like a much-needed crash course on how to tell compelling stories.”

~ Miguel Perez, 2018 intern

“I would not be a journalist today without The Dallas Morning News internships. As a high school intern, I learned the basics of news reporting and digital journalism. As a college intern, I helped hone in on the skills necessary to be a journalist. I developed lifelong friendships with my fellow interns and made professional connections that allowed me to build a career in the news business.”

~ Charlie Scudder, Collin County reporter and former high school and college intern

“One thing that I’ve noticed about being an intern here at The Dallas Morning News is that you don’t feel like you’re an intern when you’re here. You come in and people expect you to be a full-time reporter the minute that you step into the door.”

~ Nataly Keomoungkhoun, audience team member and former college intern

It’s really great the Washington intern isn’t confined to any one thing — I got to have some experience reporting on Capitol Hill, the presidential election and congressional elections. I was also able to do a range of stories, from straight news to analysis to profiles.

Maddie Ngo, Washington bureau intern
